Goddard Library has a fantastic resource for writing papers on authors and their works - -

Literature Resource Center

Literature Resource Center has literary criticism, biographies, and overviews of specific works.

For example, type in Henrik Ibsen and find:

      565 critical articles
      462 biographies
      100 work overviews
       76 primary sources

That is a ton of information!  You can't go wrong with Literature Resource Center!
