Having trouble figuring out the Goddard Library website?  Help is here in the form of two tutorials.  Located under the tab "Research Tutorials", Intro to Goddard Library (4:24) gives an overview of our website and how to get help.  Research QuickStart (2:28) explains how to use the Research QuickStart feature that makes starting research much easier! 

Library open regular hrs: Pres. Day & RCTC Staff Dev. Day

Goddard Library will be open 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb 21 (Presidents' Day) and Tuesday, Feb 22 (Staff Development Day).

Chat is available when using Goddard Library on-line.

If you have a research or library question, we suggest you try using the library's chat service.  Click on "Ask a Librarian" and navigate to the chat screen, or click on "Ask a Librarian" at the bottom of Goddard Library pages.  Chat is not always available, but it is often available when the library is open and a librarian will assist you with your research or library questions.  Chat is not available when the library is closed.

Chat works from any computer on or off-campus when you are using Goddard Library's web pages. 

We are here to help.  Every question is an important question.

To use chat right now, return to the Goddard Library homepage and click on "Ask a Librarian" to navigate to the chat window.  Type in your question at the bottom of the window where it says "Type here to chat" and press enter on your keyboard...

Drop in for a tour of the library!

The library is offering Drop In Library Orientation sessions!  Topics will include library services, finding books/articles using the library website, locating books on the shelf, and a tour of the library.  Make your life easier by learning how to use the library to find materials for your classes.

Library Closed Martin Luther King Day Jan 17, 2011

Goddard Library will closed for Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Janurary 17, 2011.

Winter Break Hours

Goddard Library will observe the following hours during Winter Break.

Saturday, December 18, 2010 thru Sunday, January 9, 2011:

All Mondays - Thursdays     Open 8:00am - 4:30pm
Fridays
     December 24                   Closed
     December 31                   Closed
     January 7                         Open 8:00am - 4:30pm
All Saturdays and Sundays    Closed

Regular hours will resume on Monday, January 10, 2011.

Library and LTC are closed for Sunday December 12,2010.

Due to snow clean-up work and limited access to campus roads and parking lots, Goddard Library and the Library Technology Center (LTC) will be closed today, Sunday, December 12, 2010.  As of 11am access to the Atrium and Goddard building if coming to campus by car was still not possible.  Cars were waiting to be towed so that plows and blowers could clear the areas near the Atrium entry.  It is projected to be later in the day before vehicle access and parking will be available.

Sorry for any inconvenience closing the library and LTC might cause.  Remember that many library resources are available on-line using your UCR ID card barcode on the back of the card and your password.  Your password in set to your last name unless you have changed it.
