MONDAY, APRIL 20 – Words Players perform Romeo and Juliet at noon in the cafeteria. Sonnet writing workshop at 2:00pm.
TUESDAY, APRIL 21 – Poetry & Music: In Honor of Shakespeare and National Poetry Month, 11:00am-1:00pm in the cafeteria - Sponsored in part by Goddard Library
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22 – Sonnets for the sonnet-writing
contest must be submitted by noon to john.sievers@rctc.edu. Winners of
the contest win prizes and have their sonnets published in the Echo.
THURSDAY, APRIL 23 – “What Love Dares – the Comic
and Tragic Consequences of the Heart” presented by Lee Gundersheimer of
the Great River Shakespeare Festival 6:00-7:00pm in CF206/208. Celebrate
the Bard’s birthday with cake! Winners of the Sonnet competition
announced.
ALL WEEK – See a display of works by and about
Shakespeare in the glass display case on the main floor of the Goddard
Library. Ask for a Shakespeare bookmark! Visit the College Learning
Center to see the student exhibition “Lighting Shakespeare.”
