MINNESOTA AUTHOR JACK EL-HAI TO SPEAK!

Two-time Minnesota Book Award winner Jack El-Hai will be speaking in CF 206-208 on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 4:00 p.m.  Jack El-Hai writes books, essays and articles on the history of medicine, the history of science, and other historical topics.  His latest book, The Nazi and the Psychiatrist:  Hermann Goring, Dr. Douglas M. Kelley and a Fatal Meeting of Minds at the End of WWII won the 2014 Minnesota Book Award.  El-Hai's 2005 book, The Lobotomist:  A Maverick Medical Genius and His Tragic Quest to Rid the World of Mental Illness is also a Minnesota Book Award winner.


This event, hosted by Goddard Library, is part of SELCO's Fall 2014 Author Tour, and is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Take a look at the new content (click here) added to the library subscription to Films on Demand! Films On Demand is a database of videos that gives faculty and students instant access to thousands of educational programs grouped into subject-specific categories. Films are segmented into easy-to-use clips and can be viewed from on or off campus. Enjoy!!
